On Safari with veteran guide Tony Church
Tony has spent almost his entire life in Kenya (click here to read his full story).
Born in 1938 to parents who were missionaries, he was educated in Nairobi and England. After a gap year teaching in Vancouver, BC, he returned to his beloved African and joined the Southern Rhodesian Police Force in 1961. He returned to Kenya in 1964 managing a tea estate in Nandi Hills before going into tourism in 1969. He incorporated Safaris Unlimited (Africa) Ltd in 1971 and is currently the Chairman of the family business. He is an avid conservationist, sportsman and explorer.
Today, despite being semi-retired, Tony does guide the occasional safari. Those lucky enough to have him as a guide will enjoy a safari filled with excitement, fun and stories of early adventures, not to mention Kenya’s colonial history.
